College Students is an independent education desk covering the decisions students in India actually face: which board and which stream to take, which entrance exam to sit, where to apply, how to pay for it, and what the first job after it looks like.
What we cover#
- Boards — CBSE, ICSE, state boards and the international alternatives, and what each one asks of a student.
- Entrance exams — JEE, NEET, CUET, CAT, CLAT and the design and management tests, with pattern changes covered as they are notified.
- Colleges and admissions — cut-offs, counselling rounds, and how institutions differ once you are actually inside them.
- Paying for it — scholarships, education loans and the full cost of a degree, including the parts that are easy to miss.
- After the degree — skills, government and banking exams and the first years of a career.
- Study Abroad — Test process, scores and colleges, cost of living, visa rules, working permissions.
How we work#
We use software to help research, draft and check our work, but a human editor is responsible for every published word.
What this is not#
Nothing here is a guarantee of admission, a rank prediction, or financial advice. Exam patterns, fees and cut-offs change, sometimes late in the cycle. Always confirm against the official notification before you act on a deadline.
We do not have any branches and we do not collect personal information or contact students. We do not offer counselling services.
